Did you ever think about removing the hinges all together on the engine access side panels? You could add another brace on the opposite side of the one you already installed. It would act as a sandwhich for the bottom of the panel. Then the panel would be easily removable instead of just folding down. Not sure how the LSV is, but on my OBV, the panels hit the sides when they are lowered, and do not lay flat.

Joe, I did think about that and may still do it, but right now I didnt want to drill anymore holes than I needed, and I was one piece short. The panels do not lay flat either, they did on the 08.
