    Default Aluminum trailer

Does anyone in the Houston area have suggestions for where to get an aluminum trailer? I've got a quote from McClain but would like other options to compare.

Not in Houston, but I was quoted $5000 OTD for a new aluminum trailer.

Nothing out of the ordinary. When we bought the LSV we stored it in the garage, so I wanted the single for maneuverability. Now that we're storing it, I want the dual for towing on long trips. Figured I'd go with the aluminum. The 2007 Outback we had, the trailer was still functional when we sold it in 2010, but I don't think it had more than one year left in it. Price you pay for brackish water I guess, but the butter is worth it.

Why not go with a galzanized trailer. I got one from the factory when I bought my Outback.

Funny thing, they sent the galzanized trailer with chrome wheels. I replaced them with aluminum wheels though.

When I ordered my XLV with the tandem trailer in 2005, I got both the galvanization and paint options. It's got no rust at all today. There is a little bit on the chrome wheels.

Rusted out painted trailers are ugly.

If your boat is black and white, it's not too bad.
