So I rode the foil a lot more this weekend. I tried it at surf length and I felt that the normal wakeboard wing that I ride at 13mph at 75 feet didn't have enough lift for surfing at 10 to 11mph.

I'm tempted to get the Infinity 76. For surfing, I didn't want to go nuts, so I only filled the port 1100 bag. I did it with the 24" mast. (When I tried surfing with full ballast and the 30" mast, it was too binary as I got in the pocket and I got ejected immediately.)

I was able to briefly slack the rope, but not enough to keep it going. So, it seems my options are more speed (silly for surfing), more ballast, or larger wing. Thoughts?

I know that with the bimini you probably couldn't build overhead racks like I did, but that's the best way to transport mine. It's on the floor of my boat when trailering and up on the overhead when we're on the water.

That’s how I store mine as well. I think you’d be surprised at just laying the board on the back pad (obviously with the foil in the air). I can run at 35+mph all day long with it back there and no movement at all.

It's not as bad as you'd think. Clean, clear water. Summers in the 80s and 90s with no humidity. No critters in the water to worry about. More winery's and breweries than you can count and a food culture that's on point. Soon our water temps will be better! (we'll see low 70s water temps in the summer)

Us Texans would be freezing our ass off in low 70's water temps...my local lake just hit 80 this weekend and that is almost perfect, I'd rather have 85 or so.

I have a mirco brewery down the street from my house, we have some of the most diverse food in the country but who cares. All I need is a steak house and mexican food (which ya'll dont have, taco bell doesn't count). I don't worry about the critters in the water, and our water has been in the 70s since March and will stay in the 70s until November. And we have clear water just a couple hours away at Canyon Lake or Lake Travis. I think I'll stay here.

And what I meant previously was just that I don't have any plans to head up that way.
