    Default Adding Trailer Backup LED's

I searched the forum and didnt see any information of someone adding backup LED's to their Moomba trailer. Id like to add them and am torn between cutting the holes for a standard oval white LED towards outside of the trailer or surface mount a 12" LED strips towards the inside. Anybody have these already installed? Share photos?

Are you talking about the LED reverse lights on the trailer? Mine already has those. or are you talking about something different???

Jim - have had similar thoughts but no room for cutting holes. Surface mount of some sort would be viable or possibly swap out one of your existing tail lights and rewire it for a reverse light would probably be easiest. Like Trayson's setup.

I've thought of adding a smaller surface mount reverse/white light on the bottom edge of the rear fender - keep it concealed but still useful to let me know when the tires are about to hit something down low.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

FWIW, mine came factory that way, I'm pretty sure.

Thanks was concerned about the steel being thin but seems to work worst case will have to weld some plate in behind and better than relying on platform to hold boat to trailer

My brother added a mini bar to his fishy boat trailer. I might look into one of these.

So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

After discovering that mice have made a meal of the trailer wiring, Im going to buy a new wiring harness from Boatmate that includes wiring for backup lights. Harness is $75. Thanks for the photos and input. Ill update as the project happens.
