    Default Mojo ski setting

Anyone try to ski a 15 Mojo?

Wife skis and was behind the boat empty last weekend with 3 adults and 2 kids in the boat. Wake was small-ish but super rampy at 28-30 mph.

Not too worried about it, but it would be nice to be able to cruise on skis just for fun some times. Our old I/O would go fairly flat at those speeds but still had a wake. The v-drive throws water at her at those speeds also and makes it even worse.

Rec skiing with both (not slalom)
    65ft rope
    ski pylon mounted
still had 250lbs of lead each side under mid seats - probably didn't help
    over 1/2 tank of fuel

Add some bow ballast and then use the smartplate/center plate to push the nose down. The further you can get the back end out of the water the smaller the wake will be.

    Complete new guy question.
The IBS is plumbed to the over flow of the center hard tank....correct?
How would I do this without filling the center? Just move my lead forward?

I'm not familiar with your year mojo ballast system so I can't offer much there.

You might also try 75% on the Center plate and no ballast at all. Sonic is correct that you want to get the stern up out of the water but drain every tank in the boat and you should get a skiable wake at 28mph. If you have passengers in the boat have them sit as far forward as possible.

Empty ballasts, trim tabs down to flatten the wake and riders up front.

We run 50% ballast in the front with the wake plate all the way down. Obviously, the rear bags are completely empty. If you have lead onboard, move it forward under the bow cushion. The wake is nice and smooth at 28-30 and it pulls like a champ.

I'm just ecstatic that the ski group had its first post in almost two years.

Thank for the replies guys. Tried this out while headed back to the dock after surfing. The lead in the midship lockers were not helping but it did flatten out quite nicely. Only had 3 adults in the boat with 1 skiing, and had all 5 kids up front. Wake was there but nothing compared to what I saw day 1. We were also low on fuel and late afternoon the water went glass. Not too bad for a 23ft wake boat.

Zaboda - I'm happy I could revive the ski group. We are rec skiers, but it is nice for a change of pace and to use my winter skills.
