First thing done was to add short feet to the bottom of the floor to keep it level. The hump, which is getting cut off, supports the back of the floor. A level and sandpaper were used to make everything level front to back.
Next thing was to cut off the hump.
Designed and built the box using size suggested by Exile. Used 3/4 Birch plywood, glue, screws, and staples. Routered all the edges.

Used several coats of oil based paint inside and out and finished off with clear coat. Added carpet and electrical. Finished off with starboard feet to keep moisture from wicking up the carpet.

Finished box installed in the boat.
The box slid in and dropped in place behind the floor. Both sides were trimmed to match the contour of the hull and walkway wall.Joe

For 800 watts total it does hit pretty hard. Four tens move a lot of air & is very musical. Thinking of swapping them for 4 L7 10s & giving them 2400 watts. But I kinda like being married. Originally Posted by jtatexc
