When it looks like this on the way to your camp spot on a 5 day weekend, well the speeding ticket just might be worth it.

My brother-in-law-ish guy. Snowboarder by heart. Not bad for only having been behind a boat like 3 times.



Daddy Daughter bonding. Setting a good example by surfing in the shipping channel into the night without a spotter. What could go wrong?
(I'm pretty sure she's a better driver than me.)

Later that night we picked up a few more passengers and went out to watch the meteor showers from the water. Decided a surf set was in order so with ballast full, 9 passengers on board, and suck gate in place we went for it. It could have been the whiskey improving my judgement but I swear it was the best wave this old boat has ever put out. Ridiculously long pocket and plenty of height and push. And this is the only pic I could get - lame.



My mother-in-law had some premonition that a barge was bearing down on us and what do you know she was, well close. No more pics since the camera man was panicking but you get the idea how dark it was. Turns out surfing in the shipping channel at night may not be the best idea...

In WI the DNR and Sheriff would be all over our azz if someone was sitting on the swim platform while under power!
I've been pulled over for simply having someone sitting on the rear deck with their feet on the rear seat...was also pulled over for idling away from shore at 1 mph with a wakeboarder sitting on the rear deck with their feet on the swim platform!
