tazz3069-cut lab! We've always loved labs too...great water dogs and for the family. Can't wait to get him on the boat and out on some camping trips! Any tips or items we will definately need to prepare for?

Thanks for the Soft Paws tip. I ordered the clear ones to try out.
My dog Rocky loves the boat and swimming we dont have the heart to leave him home. We have tried many ways to cover the vinyl. The best so far is clear vinyl covers. My wife makes them. They work much better than towels or cloth because they dont get wet. The best way is to cover the nails we tried the Muttluks dog boots but he wont leave them on. I dont think he can swim with them either. I think the Soft Paws will be the ticket.

I saw this post last year and per Razzmans recommendation I bought the clear Softpaws. We have tried everything to protect the interior even going as far as making custom seat covers. They worked well untill they got wet. The Softpaws worked great I put them on in the parking lot before launching on Friday .
It only took about 5 Min's for all 16 nails. My dog doesn't even know he has them on walking, running and swimming no problem. He stepped on my wife's foot and it didnt even hurt. I think they are the answer I highly recommend them. Thanks Razzman
