    Default Awesome Carpet Stain Remover

I was at the Home Depot the other day and they had Folex Instant Carpet Spot Remover for $4.99 a bottle on a display stand. I've never heard of the stuff before but I have several stains on the boat carpet from this summer so I grabbed a bottle.

I used it today and I'm here to tell you, it works as advertised. I had several root beer stains on the carpet above the cupholder and between the speakers. Probably splashed up there when I hit a wake and a full can of root beer was sitting in the cup holder. It's been there for months. I did just like the directions said - spray with the cleaner, then agitate with your fingers, then blot dry with a towel. This stuff is nothing short of magic. The stain was completely gone within seconds. Then I went to work on 4-5 other spots on the carpet where stuff got spilled over the summer. Did the same procedure and every stain completely disappeared.

I'm not affiliated with the product in anyway. Just a really satisfied customer.

    Good to know. Thanks!

When I bought my boat this fall it looked like the first owner went boating in a mud hole. I don't think he every cleaned it since it was new. Dirt and stains everywhere, even some hard candy that was dying the carpet blue, red, green, and well you get the point. Thankfully mechanically the boat was mint.
I tried using different carpet cleaning agents without sucess. I ended up spreading oxyclean powder all over the carpet, wetting it down with the hose, scrubing it with a hand bursh, and sprayed it down with the pressure washer (used low setting). Turned out GREAT!!!!! Almost like new.

Now I need to find a good vinyl cleaner. Anybody use Malco vinyl cleaner? I've been reading good things about it. I also thought of giving a oxyclean/water mixture a try. I need to use a tough cleaner to get as many of the stains out as I can and then I plan on exclusively using Babes boat cleaner products. Anyone have a really good vinyl cleaner recommendations?

I use Spray Nine and have been very happy with it. It was recommended by this forum.

That Malco is the shizz! The only down side is once you clean a panel you have to clean the whole boat. No matter how meticulous you are. I highly recomend it. Spray it on, scrub it with a brush then wipe it down.
