    Default check engine lamp

I change oil and oil filter on my outback v -07 every year. But yesterday when I did it the check engine lamp turn on. I've gone through and checked everything, but I can not find anything wrong

Does anyone know what this could be?

    Default possible cause

I had an '07 LSV that had the same problem, idiot light came on but no codes were detected by the ECM. It ended up being a short in the ECM on the engine. It was replaced under warranty and never happened again.

I got a tip from Bob at Orlandoboats that cycle the engine for 3 starts ups and cool downs. It worked perfectly, the light disappeared.

I think that the error was when I entered the new oil as it was too little and the engine light came on. Then when I filled more oil the light didnīt disappeared.
