The drivers footrest is fiberglass under the carpet. Before you storm ahead and do so you might like to know 1) there's wires and cables that run through there and 2) it won't sound that great. The reason, it's an unsealed cavity with no way to permantly seal it. So unless you have a free air sub it won't work very well. If the Kicker is not and you don't want to buy a free air sub then your better off putting it in a box.
