    Default 2007 Lsv Top Speed

I only top out at approx 34mph with ballast completely empty and approx, 4-5 people in the boat....is this normal? I want to hit 40mph, do I need a new prop?

What motor do you have? I have a 340 EXT-CAT and the stock 4 blade wakeboard prop. I can run about 38.4 according to Perfect Pass max in my 06 LSV. Doesn't really matter the weight in the boat for me, that is as fast and the prop can spin.

34? Is that on the speedometer? First check it with a GPS.. They have to be Calibrated, Prop is the next thing.. I am at 5500 ft and run a high altitude prop here. On the gps I am getting 37-38 empty. Lsv's hull is not designed to go fast, they are a tow boat...

Yeah, just not a 40mph boat. Like was said calibrate your speedos first. But bottom line is this is a tow boat. You want the wrap around seating and some speed, your looking for a deck boat maybe.
