    Default Major vibration - solved

For the last 3 days my Outback has been vibrating at speed badly. I couldn't figure out what it was. Also, it struggled to get to 55km (34mph) with perfect pass.

Today I swam under the boat. The prop was fine, but I found some sort of rag or fish net wrapped around the prop-shaft. I managed to get it off and voila - back to it's usual flawless performanc.

    Phew.

If you read any kind of troubleshooting guide or service manual for anything you will always find the word "inspect". There's a good reason for that. Glad to hear your inspection revealed the trouble and you're back on the water at full speed.

It looks like these little accidents are being used as a basis for anti-pirate technology:

had the same issue with a small piece of ski rope wrapped around our propshaft this last summer. amazing how such a small piece can affect a 340hp 20ft boat
