higher price for a v drive
Can someone explain to me why a v drive costs thousands more than a direct drive?

because the engine is in the back which gives you more seating and a whole diffrent design which equals more fabric and what not

Since the engine sits in the back of the boat backwards, power has to be transfered and redirected through a Vector-Drive unit. These units cost a few grand, and that is where most of the price increase comes from.
