    Question steering cable 02 outback direct drive

    ok I have had my outback for 8yrs and the steering is really tight, hard to turn the wheel, anyone know if the cable can be repaired or lubed or something. or does it have to be replaced?

    Everyone I've talked to says replace, I've got a cable on the way, should be here Wed. Today it was real tough to turn. There has to be a way to water proof the connection by the sleeve, I'm looking at heat shrinking around the nut. will post my installation.
