Default uograding rear ballast bags in '09 LSV

Is have read many posts where people have upgrading their rear ballast bags to the 750 lbs ones. Is this a simple procedure? What would I expect to pay for these bags? And does it make a noticable improvement on the size of wave?

I am considering this option for times when its just me and 1 or 2 other people wake surfing.

It's a simple as modifications get... plug and play. Price will vary but roughly $250 - $300 for a pair of 750s. It will be an improvement in wave size, but that 350 lbs is just the same weight as a couple of guys, so don't expect your world to be rocked!

    Bjames,

    My suggestion...
if you only want to surf, you can buy 1 750lb bag and disconnect.. that's what I have...
Also, if you want additional weight for wakeboarding, go with an integrated bow sac for the front (check out the connection system from www.wakemakers.com

The LSV produces better wake with more weight in the front than the back..if you fill up 2 750's in the rear, you'll need at least an additional 600 up front to balance the boat.

Does anybody have the 750 lbs bag in a XLV?

It doesn't seem to fit in my XLV. I am surprised the LSV has a bigger rear compartment than the XLV.

I just upgraded my stock bags in my 07 XLV to 750's... AWESOME!!!

Really Easy to do too, The stock bags filled and drained from the rear, the new 750's drain from the rear and fill from the front, I just re-routed the fill line through a new hole just forward of the side engine compartment panels... It works like a charm...
