    Default Propeller pitch

My friend has a 2007 Mobius LS with a stock 13X16 prop. The problem is that we water ski behind this boat and we just can't seem to get up on the one ski like behind my boat (1987 Supra Comp TS6M 13X13 prop). I told him that he needs to pitch his prop back to a 13 degree pitch and he will gain the required torque to pull us out.

Has anyone done this on this type of boat and were you satisfied with it?

I run a 13x13 on my Outback LS and it will pull you out very quickly and still run about 45 or so.

Thanks, for the response, I figured that would do the trick, 13x13, it was always perfect for my Supra TS6M never had an issue.

    Thanks

Davispm1, I have a 2008 LS stock prop and have absolutely no problems getting a skier up. I just went to a double boot/ deep water start and it works fine. top speed in my boat is 43-44mph.

    Davispm1,
Like KurtL said we have the stock LS prop and are a big slalom skiing family and we have no problems. Our prop is a 3 blade 13 x 11.5, this pitch is less than the Outback (and our old MasterCraft 13 x13) but these boats are a good bit larger and heavier so your top end will only be around 42 - 44mph vs. the 48 the 13 x 13 pitch will do. I can't image why you have a 13 x 16 prop on your boat? What is your top end?

    Zegm,

This boat that I am talking about has a 13X16.5 way to much to get up. I had a 1987 Supra Comp TS6M with a 13X13 and had no problem. My buddy is going to get a new prop and it will 13X13 and should work, if so he will have the stock bumped back to a 13 pitch.

    Thanks for the info...

    Default 13 x 13 on 2008 LS

We did it, today on the way home the lake was smooth, there was no one around, and I have 80 hours on the engine now so I opened her up and with the 13 x 13 we saw 45mph!!! Might have gone a little faster but we were heading into the wind but that is faster than what I though she would do!
