    Default Odd harmonic sound

    I have a 2007 Moomba outback...direct direct drive with 100 hours. Last weekend I started to notice a high pitched harmonic sound coming from the engine whenever I shift into neutral...any ideas...will it go away after the 100 hour service?

    I'd call your dealer asap. Ask them. I wouldn't run it until you get it fixed. If you have any shaft or tranny issues it could cause problems in the entire drivetrain.
