    Default Seating securing nuts

Does anyone know what thread size i require to replace nuts securing my inboat seating?

I have recently reupholstered my boat, but lost some screw nuts.

They are Imperial UNC , but i don't know the size......???

    Maybe 1/4"?

Why not pull one off and take it shopping with you. My wife often takes a nut shopping with her.

    Default Nuts

Unfortunately, hardware stores here in the U.K. only stock Metric sizes, i need to mail order some Imperial sizes, thus i cannot compare physically.

I did mine not too long ago. I'd bet they were all 3/8" or 5/16". I'll try to check later today and get back to you. I'll also get you what you need and send it to you if it helps. You'll probably get ripped off if you try to order them. Can't be very heavy at all to ship.

OK, Dave, I checked on mine. The smaller pieces use 1/4" nuts. That was all I could reach the way my boat is stored in the garage with the tower folded down. But, I distinctly remember that the seat pieces that attach to the engine cover took larger nuts like 5/16" or maybe even 3/8". I'll send you a dozen of each of these sizes. Just PM me your address.

    Default Nuts

Kane, thank you for the help, i can get some 1/4" nuts here, just have to send for them, plenty on Ebay here.

I have been robbing the nuts from other parts of my boat to keep it together!

    Thank you again......
