Default How do I lift my Moomba

I need to lift my XLV off of the trailer to clean and wax where the boat sits on the trailer runners. My buddy's shop has a hoist and forklift. the book says to use the hook on t he bow and the two transom hooks on the stern? It doesn't seem like those points would hold that much weight.
Also what kind of straps should I use? thanks.

    Buddy

pro tow straps will hold 4000 pounds each.that will lift it. i would put it in the water go fix the trailer and put it back on less chance of damage

He wants to wax the boat where the runners on the trailer are. I don't know if he can hold his breath for that long.

I lifted my old boat off the trailer with 2x6's and a floor jack so I could replace the bunks during the winter. If you raise one side at a time and spread the weight out it works fine. I'd definitely block it up before I stuck my hand in there to wax though.

That is what a garden hose is for. Just have to make sure someone holds the other end above the water.

Mark the hull where the edge of the runners meet with a magic marker, get a good underwater waxing kit, put the boat in the water and get waxing. This could be quite a business.
