    Default Sticker Removal??

I just recently bought my first boat and I need to remove the state license sticker and a few other stickers. Anybody know what works best without scratching or damaging the paint??

just get a hair dryer on it for a while and get someone with a fingernail and it should come right off.

I have used a heat gun or a blow dryer. Just keep the gun moving over the decal and it will soften it up enough that you can get a corner started and peal it off. Usually they peal off intact.

You will also want to clean up the glue left on your boat afterwards.

    Happy boating & welcome!

WD-40 is money for getting the goo off after the majority of the sticker is off.
A heat gun works the best but dont get it too hot or the sticker will stretch and tear easily. just experiment and you will figure it out.

No matter what you do, resist the impulse to use a utility blade or scraper. You will almost certainly end up scratching your gel, no matter how carefull you are.

The best tool you can use is patience. Good luck!

Wiser words have never been stated on this board.

Well, maybe something about wings & beer would be close . . .
