Default new platform brackets for surfing??!!

so here's the story and pics, and maybe someone from skiers choice can chime in with what I actually have..
brackets on our boat failed that hold the swim platform on. It would appear that this will be a pretty common thing if you are in a lot of chop often, and something to be mindful of every few years. ours split out on the bottom where the pin holds it on. you can see the hole is egg shaped and split out at the bottom. found a temporary fix until I could get to idaho watersports and get a new one...

part number is SEF-4401. dealer didn't have that part number instock, but they had part number SEF-4402. they looked pretty much the same and they told me that 4401 was a disco. part due to the large open space in the center of the bracket, that they were prone to failure, and that 4402 has much more "meat" in the middle of the bracket so it will hold up a lot better, but doesn't have any more metal where my original one failed. bought a set and off I go. put them on and the swim platform sits noticably off-angle. went out to the lake and it's much different, but not in a bad way, since the platform on the launch20ssv is NEVER out of the water for whatever reason.
set up our first surf session and the wake is almost a foot taller than normal and has a much better shape. we have decided that since the angle of the bracket allows the swim platform to sit around 3inches higher in the back than the other one, that the platform is not dragging as much when the boat leans to the left(we only surf regular). I wish I had pics on the boat, but it's cold here and don't feel like dragging it out now, but you get the idea....

I am open to any suggestions as to how I ended up with this new part number, what it REALLY should fit and comments if anyone else out there has experienced the same thing. for this supra, it really has made a world of difference in the surfing of the boat....

might be that some of the moomba/supra rears are angled differently, but I haven't seen one yet that is.....
