    Default Quick Winterization drain plug valves

    I remember a post on these.............but i cant find it. Any thoughts?

    Check those out I like the first one.

    I ended up just going to the hardware store and I found the same size brass screws that were in my engine blocks except they were in a thumb screw version

    No tools required but I use a pair of channel locks to do one last half twist after I tighten with my fingers to make sure they are in there good and snug to prevent leakage.

    If I lived where you lived I would at least do what I did or do the easy drain valves that are listed on the first link.

    Default Don't forget the exhaust hose

    The exhaust headers have a connecting hose to drain those as well.
    We kept a single small wrench for removing the drain plugs every trip during the winter, one plug located on the bottom side of each 4 block.

    This is from an easy to access 2007 Moomba Outback DD.

    I use brass drain plugs that aren't expensive, easy to drain and won't break or loosen up.
