    Default Sad Day

Yesterday was a sad day as I winterized the boat and put it away. After several nights of 32 degree cold, I needed to do it. If will probably warm up to 80 degrees now, but that's ok.

If I lived where you lived... I'd just use a bilge heater and wakeboard all year.

It's not just the temps, but I really live in lower Alabama more than Florida. With daylight ending at 5pm, I would only get to use it on the weekends. Now is the 'visit with family' time of the year.

Visit the family time of year, that's funny.

It is a sad time of year for all when it comes to putting the boat away. I was breaking an inch of ice yesterday while removing my piers for the winter. It always amazes me the lenghts I'll go to, to stay on the water as long as I can

I just pop a trouble light in there any time I think it's going to be below 32 at night in the garage (not often). I'm ready to go any time. We just haven't had a warm day on a weekend in 2 months now.

If I was in the area I would take you up on that offer, I'd love to ride, but for now I have switched my obsession to checking the local snow reports on the mountains.

Yeah we are having unusually cold weather down here for this time of year. Normally we get below freezing in January not Nov! I had to put the drop light in the engine compartment too as I haven't drained the fluids yet, I thought I had another month to go!!! And they talk about global warming???

Yes I realize that this is a fantastic solution, however I store my boat outside in the driveway unfortunately, and I'm way to lazy to drain the engine every time!

When I left WI this morning to fly to AZ there was an inch of snow on the ground and near blizzard conditions all the way to the airport. Plane was late leaving by 1 1/2 hrs because the deicing trucks ran out of fluid. I think I'll take your florida weather North or South compared to mine. In 2 weeks I off for the first snowmobile trip of the season. Last 4 out of 5 nights up by the house in the U.P. has had snow!
