Polk Momo or Db 6.5
Which would you put in the interior and the tower of the OBV 07 . Would you match them both or split between. and are they a direct replacement from the kenwoods?? I have read Jesse c post many times and would like to avoid the trim ring.
8 speakers for MOMO at $400.00
8 speakers for DB651 at $300.00

I've never heard the MOMOs, but I have 6 of the DB651's in my boat and I love 'em. I have the 4 in the main cabin running off a Kicker ZX700.5, and the 2 in the bow powered from the head unit. Since I have a sub I run them with a high pass filter, which keeps the mids and highs nice and crisp.

I have never heard the db's but absolutly love my MOMOs. I have 6 interriors and no tower speakers. I do have a sub, but even without it, running 75 watts to each MOMO sounds as crisp as any set up I've ever heard! Nice full range sound with deep bass (no distortion), clear vocals, and screaming highs. I'll use these in any system I ever build again, car or boat!
Sorry I can't compare the two for you. The crossovers and seperate bass and tweeter terminals on the MOMOs do add a lot more flexability though. They can also handle a lot more power, I believe. We are eternal, all this pain is an illusion.

Yes. I have an '07 LSV. Changed them out without a problem. You do have to mount the crossovers somewhere though. I double sided taped them behind the area between the speakers. They fit tight in there so they aren't going anywhere. I can't really get a good picture of the x-overs, but here's the MOMOs...

Main difference between the 2 is looks and crossover's
The Momo's handle more power.....But if you aren't going to feed them alot of juice is the $100 worht it? Thats almost a tank of gas.
And if you run an amp to them you could use the high pass filter on the amp and not need the external crossover.
I think my info is correct on this (I've been kicking around the idea of Polk's in my 07 LSV). Now I think I need the Momo's because the grills will match the tower speaker setup I'm going to run

Hey is this Jeff HILL lol
I just put the DB's in my boat and they sound amazing. Friggin boat is louder then the two JL 7.7's on my tower. I need two more 7.7's =o)
Make sure you amp them though

I can't remember what the grills look like on the DB's?
Sometimes you can pick the Polk's up for buy 1 get 1 1/2 off.
How much power you running to your interior speakers SanMar ?
