Wakes: Outback vs. Outback V
Thinking of trading in our 07 Outback for an 08 Outback V. Is there a significant difference in the wakes of these two? We are avid wakeboarders, so the larger the better. I don't think an LSV is in the cards yet.

I can only reference personally difference in Outback and an LSV, but assure you, your wakeboarding wake will improve...
Deeper V, more freeboard, more weight in rear, better ballast options..
You'll want wakeplate and gravity III to fully maximize the change
The 06-08 OB V is the same hull as what was the '02-'05 LSV hull.
You'll find many on here with that hull as well as the OB V that can answer better.
I loved my outback.. miss it's nimble driving, better fuel econ, etc..
but wouldn't trade my LSV back for an outback! You'll love the seating and everything else!Brad

I skied behind my friends outback V and then without taking my ski off, skied behind my Outback. For a slalom skier, the Outback has an incredible wake. The V was a bit of a surprise because I didn't quite expect so much difference.
But I'm a skier, not a wakeboarder.2007 Moomba Outback
