Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the V-drive is the transmission.

well that's what I assumed.. But I found 3 dipsticks... 1 for the Engine, 1 for the V-Drive, and a red one that I was not sure what it was for... in the owners manual it says transmission.....

    Spyder,

Page 62 in the Moomba manual says to use only Dextron III for transmissions with 1:1 drivetrain (which is what my boat has).

Page 6-17 of the Indmar manual says to use Pennzoil Dexron II, III, or MERCON.

    CSMSK,
    The V-Drive is separate..
ATF Dexron III in my trans as well.

Trans fluid is easy to change cold with a vac pump.
V Drive oil needs to be warm or you'll never get it out.

I need to change my V Drive oil sometime soon...

I will need a little help on that to make sure I do it right. I know Jesse has posted several times about this.. i guess there is a drain on the bottom and something about some magnets? I guess I'll have to get into it to understand..

With the Dexron III ATF work fine for the Wakeplate as well... or is it a different ATF?

I just hear HD has more detergent then standard SAE30...

    Any issues with that?
