06 Moomba Mobius LSV - Transmission fluid
Hey guys, I have the details on fluids for the V-Drive and the Engine Oil... What does the transmission use?
Walter V-Drive (RV-26D-71V)
Pennzoil SAE 30 Motor Oil
Engine (Indmar Assault 325 5.7L EFI)
Engine Oil: Pennzoil Marine 15W40
Oil Filter: Pennzoil PZ3
Wakeplate
Regular ATF2006 Moomba Mobius LSV
Stereo: Kenwood KMR-D562BT
Ballast: 750 Surfside locker, 400 Surfside mid boat, 400 Gravity I, 400 Bow
Surfboards: Inland Surfer Red Woody, Triple X Composite X 58"[/SIZE]

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the V-drive is the transmission.

well that's what I assumed.. But I found 3 dipsticks... 1 for the Engine, 1 for the V-Drive, and a red one that I was not sure what it was for... in the owners manual it says transmission.....

The V-Drive is separate..
ATF Dexron III in my trans as well.
Trans fluid is easy to change cold with a vac pump.
V Drive oil needs to be warm or you'll never get it out.
I need to change my V Drive oil sometime soon...
I will need a little help on that to make sure I do it right. I know Jesse has posted several times about this.. i guess there is a drain on the bottom and something about some magnets? I guess I'll have to get into it to understand..Brad

The only SAE30 around these parts is Castrol SAE30 HD (Heavy Duty)... Will this work for the V-Drive or is Heavy Duty wrong for this use?

I can't say for sure, but I bought SAE30HD for mine.. just have not changed out yet..

I just hear HD has more detergent then standard SAE30...
