My wife and I have been attending the 2003 Worlds daily this week....we're fortunate enough to live 5 miles from this year's tournament. It's really incredible to see how good these skiers really are. You've gotta love a sport that allows you to get so close to the action, and there isn't even an admission fee until the finals. The highlight of the day on Thursday was watching Jill Knutson beat her own personal best by 2 1/2 bouys, and my neighbor Brandi Hunt ripping up the course. Then we went skiing later in the afternoon, and I realized just how bad a skier I really am.
There are 41 countries competing in the 3 events, it's like being at the Olympics. The announcer is great, reminding everyone what each skier's personal best is, what they do for a living, etc.
There's a website that has the daily results, with pictures. I included the link below. Gotta run, the men's slalom preliminaries start at 7:30 AM so we have to leave the house at 7:20!
