    Default Wake Plate

I purchased an 03 Mobius LSV Gravity Games edition this summer without the hydraulic wake plate and I have a couple of questions. First, It looks like the plate that is on the boat is bent slightly down. Is this the best position for the biggest wake or the best ride or most likely in between? The boat does not porpoise at all even at speed which is nice, but I'm looking for the biggest wake.

Next, If the hydraulic wake plate can produce a much bigger wake how much can I add one for?

One more, My boat has the fat sac in the ski locker plumbed from factory or dealer, but I would like to add a sac on each side of engine and have the factory pump fill and empty these two sacs? Possible? It looks like there are two more fittings not being used on the factory pump by the motor. Could these be used?

    Thanks for any replies.
Hear me now, listen later, and understand me some other time.

The wake plate is more for flattening the wake at slalom speeds than anything else, I think. However it probably can be used to fine tune the wake when boarding with a lot of weight in the boat. It does not make the wake any bigger, just changes the shape. It's a great option to have for adjusting to a variety of conditions, and for resale value.

I've been considering adding this option to my '03 Mobius as well. Has anybody else done it and how much did it cost you to have it done by the dealer. I'm sure I've got the mechanical skills to do it myself but I'm just way to nervous to try it on my new boat.

I looked into it. The dealer wants $1000.00 to do the job. You can buy the whole kit from Ski Limited for $299........

Yep, as stated, the wake plate is not going to make you wake any bigger. It will help you to shape the wake however. If you want bigger weight you need to add more ballast and play with where you put it in the boat. If you add enough ballast you may find that the wake starts to roll over at the crest. That's when you cant use the wake plate to your best benefit.

look on ski limited site, then go to propellers and accessories .. for there look at trim tabs. it's called the insta-trim boat leveler system
Buying one today.. having the boat place put it in.. unless it gets here and the directions look easy...anyone else put their own wake plate on and have any input on ease of install and how it went?...

I ordered one from ski limited and sent it back. The one from the factory is far better and in my opinion worth the extra money.

    THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE

1.Hydraulic hoses on the Ski limited plate needed to be mounted above the water line. Factory rams have the hoses mounted on the backside of their mounting plate allowing them to be below the water line.
2.The ski limited plate could not be mounted to he bottom of the boat like the plate that exists. If it were mounted on the bottom it could not be raised past 90 deg. Factory mounting is slightly above 90 deg.
3.The plate it self is not as stiff as the factory plate.
4.The factory plate comes with a gauge to tell the position of the plate. This is extra with the Ski Limited plate.
