    tlatoani,

This is the jack that I used in the glove box next to the 12v aux power / "cigarette lighter".

It really looks clean and is easy to install. This is where I got mine from.

Awesome. It's nearly perfect! (I wish it had a male headphone out but I can convert the RCAs no problem).

    Thanks!

I simply bought an IPOD controller interface for my Kenwood deck and it has a true Apple IPOD connector. I then drilled a small hole and fed it up into the glovebox and finished it off with a nice cover like you would see on a standard desk. I plug in my IPOD and I can control the IPOD with the Kenwood Deck and it displays the song info on the deck too. I would think twice about the big hole for that thing!

Big hole?!?! You should've seen me install my heater vents!

That "thing" only needed a 3/4" hole and it looks like a factory install in the glove box. Sorry, but I've never been one for wire passing through a hole and grommeted, unless there's no other way.

    To each his own.

I like the look of the mount. I use the KCA-ip500 and love it. http://www.kenwoodcorp.com/i/kca-ip500/

I hook it up and leave the ipod in my glove box. I set up a play list and use the remote by the throttle to control skipping or volume.

What i don't like about most ipod interfaces from the stereo mfgrs is that you loose control of the ipod. In most of these situations the deck itself controls it and the ipod becomes dumb and inactive, simply a storage device. That's all fine and dandy except it takes forever to find songs on the ipod. My solution which i find works great is the Harmon Kardon Drive + Play, had one on my last boat and i have one to install on the Mobius, just haven't got around to it yet.

I am using a peripheral device like i have in my Suburban, works great, Use the Ipod fopr play list and surfing but I can advance the playlist from the remote controls transfering only power and signal to the HU. I would like to see a glove box mount since my OBV does not have cup holders and i am hesitant to drill holes.

    Thx
