My new ride
So it turns out Diesel is better for towing... (insert sarcasm here) I have wanted a diesel truck for who knows how long!! 2008 GMC 2500 4x4 I LOVE IT

Cool.. That thing will tow! We have an 08 just like yours but LWB at work. I drove a 14' enclosed trailer to New Mexico back in October in it and it never missed a beat.

The only bad thing about a diesel is, you feel that you must get a 15,000 lb trailer to pull. I have have 2 F-250s and could not even tell that I had anything behind when towing my boat.

Well in our house it is a little different, we have the Gas 5.3L in the Silverado and the wife has the Turbo Direct Injected 1.9L Diesel in her Jetta. She went from an Avalanche Z-71 with 411 rear axle ratio and 13mpg to a Diesel at 41mpg! And she is NOT a slow driver! But it would be nice if GM would put a diesel in the 1500s. We had a 1500HD Crew Cab before the Avalanche and it was soooooo hard to park it!

Pike,
I love that gray and black color scheme! That was my first pick but the rest of the family voted me down. Everyone was stuck on blue.
