Default Is this a good deal?

Hey guys long time no post. ha ha a

Anyway I'm looking to get a system for my XLV. My dealer quoted me $2800-2900 for parts and labor.

    Includes:

2 Wet sound 80's tower speakers
    2 Crossfire Amps
    1 12" Sub

Seems like alot of money to me but I have no clue. Help me out with some ideas.

    Thanks

    Pike

I know that I must sound like a broken record here with my earlier posts about my system being stolen, but the things that I had to have replaced included a new amp that took the place of the two Kicker amps that I had previously (the Precision 5-way), two alpine’s, one 12” sub, and the head unit, and it cost me $2,400!!!! This wasn’t even the entire system! Thank God for insurance!!!!!!!!!!

I would shop around and buy the gear then pay to get it installed.

    I just bought:
2 Pro 80's $900 no tax or shipping from wakeside.com
6 Wetsounds XS 650's to replace interior speakers $600 Wakeside.com
3 amps off ebay $200 each
    1 12" sub $100 ebay
Installation will run about $800 because they are building a custom box for under the dash.

    Total about $3,000

    Just my 2 cents.
By the way that is the nicest boat I have ever seen but I might be biased because we have the exact same boat.

forgot to mention i also got the wetsounds ws-420 eq. Cost $347
I would definitely recommend the eq because our head unit only has one set of rca's not to mention the eq has separate volume controls for tower, boat and sub so when your riding you could turn up tower and turn down boat so not to blast out everyone in the boat. Also it has an auxiliary input for Ipod/mp3 player

Appreciate the info guys, So lets say I buy the tower speakers, two amps and the sub....how much should I be paying to have it installed?

    Thanks in advance

If someone could tell me what they think I should get as far as the amp and sub or does it really matter....

I know I definitely want the Wetsounds tower speakers. I have no idea what I am looking for. Maybe a part # or something that I can search for on Ebay.

Does anyone live in Southern California that knows of a good marine installer?

    Thanks again
