2003 Outback LS
Considering buying an Outback... Is there a quick and easy way to determine if a '03 Outback is an LS model or just a plain Outback? Seller is unsure...
Thanks!

There are multiple differences in the boat, but the easiest way is to see if it says "Ouback LS" on the side - and to look at the spray scheme/design on the outside. On this website, click at the top of the page "About Moomba" then "Archives" then "2003" and then you can look at a picture of the Outback and the LS and you can see the differences. Hope this helps. Both nice boats with very similar uses unless you are running pro-level deep into the course, in my opinion.
The LS uses the same hull, but in direct drive, as the current Outback V. Otherwise, that hull is discontinued. I have one and like it. As for the regular Outback,sSearch around on the 2003 Outback - that changed around that model year to the "new" hull. If it happened in 2003 (I think it did in 03 or 04) then you would be getting the same hull as in a 2008 Outback.

Bamaboy where are you located in Alabama? If you are close enough i could go look at the boat with you and can help determine the model of the boat.

I believe the LS has a 2 piece engine cover.

04 was the year the hulls changed in the line. the center ski locker in the LS was much larger than the regular outback
