    Default Disc Brakes on trailer

I have to go down a 6% grade to our lake for about 1 mile, Brakes are smell'n HOT. My concern is backing into the water and hearing the rotors scream while cooling.... My new trailer has 4 wheel disc, should I be concerned? Will this warp the rotors over time? Thanks

Sounds like a possibility, you might want to sit a while and let them cool off before backing into the water

I second Sled's advice. Same problem here, 11% grade for just over a mile. I put the truck in 2nd gear and stay off the brakes as much as possible. We also take our time before putting the boat in (put boards up, walk the dog, etc).
I'm also concerned about water getting into wheel bearings. I change the oil at the beginning of every season and check once in a while. Good so far.
