Amp mounting
Hello , I saw where you installed the amp , I have an old school kenwood amp about the same size and was wondering when you screwed the bottom screw in how did you do it? Is it into the fiberglass? I have a 05 lsv. Thanks, Jim .

jim,
I screwed it directly into the fiberglass, very carefully. Pre-drilled the hole and only went in about 1/8". I then used a really short screw. The weight of the amp is on the three top screws - the bottom one just keeps it from bouncing. That's why I only put in one screw.
After I did this, I installed the stainless thru hull fittings and saw that the hull is very thin in this area, only about 1/4". Had I known that before, I probably would not have drilled the hole for the bottom screw of the amp.
Be very careful!

Amp mounting
Thanks man, you have a nice boat! My last boat took 10 years to get it the way I wanted it
and this one I am trying to get it done in a few months. Jim .

Thanks Jim. I enjoy tinkering with the boat to get it just how I like it. In a way, I prefer it this way to buying one that is already all blinged out. This way, I pick and choose what upgrades I want to do (and what I want to pay for) and how to do it.
I'm taking my time with this one. I've had it about 18 months now and do a little bit at a time. I think a 3 outlet heater will be the major project for the winter and I know just how I want it installed (and it's nothing like how the factory does it).

Look sgreat. I have the same boat and havea couple of questions.
1) How did you do the transom walk through
2) Where did you get the stainless cupholders
3) Where did you get the spacers for your tower speaker clamps

Poikonen,
Thanks.
Here's the link to the transom walk thru:

I got the ss cupholders from the local Rinker dealer.
The spacers came with the tower speakers. Got them from h20sportswarehouse.com
