Would any body know if it's possible to fit a MX 6.2 Black Scorpion - 340 hp engine into a 2004 Moomba XLV GG..??

Look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Would it fit? I'm guessing yes it could be made to work but the real question is why. I can't see the benefits being worth the effort. If you're looking for more power you'll be a lot better off playing around with different props.

Sadly it's not a case of extra power, the oil sump corroded and she dumped all her oil whilst running and the result is a bent crank shaft and damaged pistons.

A rebuild in Dubai is sadly not an option as no one will commit to it. The only reason for the Scorpion is that the Mercruiser dealer has one in stock and it could be fitted very quickly.

go with a yanmar deisel..... better fuel consumption and low end torque and it should mate just fine with the v drive tranny
