North Carolina Lakes
Considering relocating to western NC. What lakes are good and what should I avoid. How long is the typical season?
Any and all info appreciated.
I'm currently in Michigan so our season is pretty short.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I moved to NC in the spring of '83 from Royal Oak Mi (9 mile and Dequindre, (Hazel Park, actually)) and wouldn't go back fer nuttin.
.
Currently live in Hickory and boat in Lake Hickory. Have been to Lake Norman (big water), Lake James (cool water), Center Hill (TN)( a great time was had by all), Dale Hollow (TN) (another not too far away). There's a few east of where I am but gots no comment, cuz never been there.

Good opportunities, season runs from late March to middle / end October.
