Porpoising (SP?) at higher speeds
I just bought a 2003 Outback LSV and took it out for the first time yesterday. It had 9 demo hours when I bought it so I went ahead and ran it through its paces. When I got around 40 MPH with the wake plate raised all the way, it started to porpoise like an outdrive powered boat that was trimmed too high. I lowered the wake plate to 25% and that smoothed out the ride to perfection. Even though the wake plate stopped the bouncing, this is my first Vdrive and I don't know if the bouncing is normal or if I have a prob. of some sort. My last boat was a 2000 Mobius direct drive and obviously I never had that type of issue before. If anyone has any experience with this please let me know.

porpousing
I have a 2001 Outback with the same problem. Since the wakeplate option is not offered, I purchased a single trim tab set-up from a company in St. Louis. I installed the tab and it cured the problem.

You want the plate set as high as it will go at high speeds, should max out at around 75%. Setting it at 0 puts the plate down and the boat jumping is no fun.

Trim Tab
I have a 2001 Outback, and to fix the porpousing problem, I purchased a single trim tab (14"widex9" system with pump from Insta-Trim in St. Louis, MO. They charged me $325. Their phone number is 314-385-7470. Good Luck.

03 Mobius does the same. I see it as two fold positve, first it allows for a better top speed ( not that this is why we buy these boats ) and at the wakeboard speeds with ballast it natually will sink in more.
