Here are a few videos of use trying to learn front rolls on the wakeskate. We shuold be trying these on the wakeboards this weekend. They are still a little sketchy on the wakeskate, but I think we are ready.

hey, is that how you usually start to learn your wakeboarding flip tricks... on a wakeskate? do you you get messed up less or something? Let me know.. that seems like a really smart idea!

Imagine trying to learn a front roll on your wakeboard and you come up short.....the first thing that happens is that the nose of your board catches and give you a SEVERE face plant. Now imagine this, you learn a front roll on a wakeskate and you come up short...now that there is no board the wreck is no where near as painful ( no severe face plant and no feet ripped out of the bindings), sometimes they still hurt, but no where near as bad. Since there is no board to catch and give you the violent face plant, you usually just end up hitting on your feet or your side. We usually start on the trampoline, then move to the wakeskate and then the wakeboard. The only exception was the backroll. I just tried it one day on the wakeboard and it was really easy to do the rotation. Tantrums and front flips are proving more tricky, besides that the wakeskate is a lot of fun!!! We usually break it out when the water is choppy and remove the fins.

According to the Book DVD they suggest learing the inverts and releys on a wakeskate first. Learn the movements on a wakeskate and then take it to the wakeboard.....in my opinion it has proven less painful by far.
