thermastat problem?
My 2005 mobius xlv has been overheating on me randomly. Just out of the blue the gauge would peg, then I would turn it off let it sit for 10 minutes and start it back up and down the gauge would go. I replaced the impeller and still same thing. So today I took out the thermostat and it never happen the rest of the day.
I want to put in a little colder thermostat because I run my boat at powell and its been vapor locking on me as well. I think I have that problem solved but... can I go to one that like 10 degrees cooler? If so does anyone have a pn for one from napa?
Thanks,
Marty

Sounds like the one you have is just frozen - replace w/ the same model and you are probably fine.

Maybe some debris has been sucked up into the transmission cooler and is blocking the line?
