Which engine do I go with?

I'm considering ordering a new LSV Moomba. The dealer said I would be fine with the 325HP but I'm thinking that down the road or possibly immediately I wish I would have paid the extra $ for the 340HP engine.
A little feedback would be helpful.

Not sure this is much of an issue anymore. The upgrade from the 310 to 325 made a big difference but the 325 to 340 is not as big a deal...in my opinion anyway. There is a difference however and if you pull with lots of people in the boat/ballast it may be the way to go. Really depends on those factors more than anything else. i would drive em both. What's the cost difference? I don't know if 15 HP on top of 325 would be even noticeable.

FYI, I have the 325 and am perfectly happy with it.

Well, I might have a better idea by the end of next week.

A friend with a 340 in a 22 foot Supra will be out next week.

I have the 325 in an 05 LSV - I'm very happy

I'm also going to watch the gas difference.

VERY little difference unless you plan on using FULL ballast all the time. Top end is the same - remember - hull speed, not engine speed is the limiting factor in these boats.

THe 340 is a must upgrade for the XLV imho though = MUCH larger boat.
