    Default Tie Downs

    hi boys

Its been awhile since I visited. I have a question. We will be towing our 2003 Outback with Boatmate trailer alot this year. Normally it sits in the water last couple of years. The marine we deal with has provided the tie downs (rope) in the past. I bought some tie downs but with the Boatmate trailer, swim deck and tow hooks they are too big for the little holes on both. What does the brain trust suggest? Thanks in advance.

I use these; Kwik-LokŪ II 2' Transom Tie-Downs. I think we got them from West Marine but Overtons sells them as well. They have swivels built in to the ends and work really well.

    I use these:

Innexpensive, vinyl covered so they do not scratch the gel coat, quick-cam lock - so just pull and tight, push the button to release, and they fit between the swim-paltform and the boat.

My dealer had some that slip in behind the ski platform and lock below it. These didn't seem all that different from others I have used with other boats I have owned...cost was about 25.00 bucks

I use these - they will bolt right on the trailer no drilling. the hook is a little large but seems to work just fine.

I like the look of those.
Dealer torked mine when it was last there. Looks like they tried to back the boat off the trailer with the transoms straps still on. I'm liking these as the replacements
