Default Surf tabs won’t wake up ( pun intended!)

I have a 2016 Craz. Every now and then the surf tabs will not set. For instance, surfing port side I have the tabs set at 70% Starboard, 0% port. I flip the switch to surf port and the tabs read something crazy like 25% port, 10% starboard. If I continually flip the switch port, starboard, port, or shut the boat off then on again it will occasionally set the tabs correctly. Is this a computer problem? Does anyone else have this problem and is there a fix? Wake plate does a similar thing, will not respond to the control, then suddenly wakes up.

Being the the forum long enough, I believe several have had this problem.
Dealer trip for firmware update and all was good again.

Thanks, I will call dealer tomorrow. Couldn’t find others on this forum with the problem. Most problems had to do with the Autowake system, which I don’t have.

I think holdmybeer is right, usually a software issue. You could possibly have the dealer update your software to a newer version.

I found the other thread with folks having similar problems. Maybe it’s true you have to let the computer cycle through before hitting the starter. I have shutter down and restarted and occasionally that fixes it, but Idont think I let it cycle? Someone mentioned not to have Perko switch on Batteries 1&2, but I don’t see how that could be a problem, 12V is12V? I called the dealer here in Colorado and service rep wasn’t “aware” of this problem but was going to check and call me back.

    Try this.

Shut it down and turn off the battery switch and let sit for 10 minutes.
Turn battery switch to 1 or 2 not both. (My 2015 I would alternate each time we went out)
Turn key to run but don't start. Let everything zero amd calibrate (about 20 seconds and stops making noise)
    Start boat and check tabs.
