Default Does 2001 Mobius 5.7 TBI have code reader?

It keeps cranking and pouring in gas until it locks up! No start. Any suggestions?

You need to find out what version of ECU that you have. I doubt you're mefi5 like my 2008. I'd think either mefi 3 or 4? It will likely say on your ECU. If not there is a pic on the rinda.com site if you're entering info like you were gonna buy an overpriced diacom tech mate pro

This one would get to you quick and does 1-4, which is what I'm pretty sure you have.

But ideas is you wanna shoot the parts cannon at your boat like I have for years:

    Ignition switch
    Kill switch
    Cap & rotor
    Ignition coil
    Ignition relay and/or Starter relay
    Plug wires

Engines need 3 things: air, spark, fuel. Figure out why it seems you're not getting spark.

When you say "locks up" is the motor vapor locking of so flooded it physically has too much gas in the cylinder bore?

Vapor lock I understand. The other would be too much fuel and very bad injectors/carb.

Trayson is right though. Spark is your problem. Check for bad fuses, broken wires, or loose connections before throwing money at it. If you don't have a check engine light there aren't codes to check.

One more thing, the ignition circuit runs through the oil level switch and coolant temp switch on your boat. If either are bad or the wires came off the boat will not fire.
