Rain ran us off the water, but it’s a sad day, my favorite pair died after a lot of years

Our annual trip to Clarkston/Lewiston on the Snake River - getting my son set up for another year at WSU.

Always a pucker factor running some of these stretches of the Snake...

Been waiting a long time for my grandkids to be brave enough to get out there. My youngest granddaughter with her auntie-

My "little monkey" first granddaughter with me-

So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

Multi-tier corhole - it's harder than it looks!

    Then there was this....

Which along with a few drinks helped my creative juices at dinner later that night.

So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

There are worse places to be stuck a few extra days though. Air mid 90s, water mid 70s.

The kids left on time pulling the boat home. Got about an hour down the road and reported in. I swear, the fun just kept coming on that trip.

Berg, that looks like a trip from "the good, the bad, and the ugly" haha. A little of everything I guess. Those are the trips that will always be remembered and talked about over the years. We have our first grandson, 7 mo, and I'm already asking his mom and dad if I can take him surfing. Can't wait.

love the drawing of the truck, but have to ask if that was you or the grandkids drawing?

I see you did the right thing.
Just drink a beer, laugh, and tackle 1 problem at a time.
Not worth ruining good memories over a bad attitude.

And you're right, could be worse place to spend a few extra days.
Hope you get everything back together and running again without breaking the bank.

Nice- I remember taking my nieces on the surfboard with me, now they are all grown up.

6’ is plenty deep- I get cautious at about 3’..
