    My heater core is under a seat on the port side but the pump is mounted in the engine compartment. The only wires under that seat are for the fan, not the pump. Retiring the pump would require running wires up to the dash, not really that hard.

    The biggest reason is it is simple to do. The heater is now only on when you want, and you can run the fan without heat as HFarr mentioned. Or flip the switch under the seat and you have heat on colder days.
    Hey, now you've got me thinking about running a new coil of tubing I could drop a bag of ice on, that I could somehow run through a small heat exchanger in front of the fan for cold air! LOL!

    Gotcha.

    Then yeah run the wires to a switch on the dash.

    Just need to chill down the existing heater core. If the pump is not running the core should be ablebto be chilled.
    Otherwise just use your boat fan and make a swap cooler with it.

    Heater outputs in swap cooler. Swap cooler outputs to kids.
