Pulled the boat out of the storage unit yesterday to take it down to Lake Powell for the eclipse tomorrow. Feels weird to be headed boating when it was 39F this morning. I will hopefully get some great pics and not get stranded by the masses headed down to no man's land.

We traveled the coast. Stayed in Boston, got a rental car for 2 days and went to Gloucester,Amesbury, Freeport, Rockland, Acadia 2 nights. And stopped at several spots along the way. Not much in Amesbury, but that's where we picked up our RV. Where do you live? I saw lots of places that looked like they would be great for surfing. Our nights were actually just right. Heater only came on briefly one night or rather morning around 6:30.

Great, glad to hear you traveled the coast on the way up and stayed in a couple great towns along the way. We live in the small town of North Hampton, NH. Definitely some good surf spots in the area.

Yep. We stopped at South Beach and North Beach along the way there! Lots of people riding horses on South Beach and lots of surfers on North Beach.

In Albuquerque going to Arizona for the winter. I missed the balloon festival and the eclipse. Someone sent me this picture taken from a hot air balloon.

it's a drawing or photoshop. there were almost no balloons in the air during the eclipse due to weather and the number at the launch pad to view.
cool pic nonetheless for those that went..

Went to watch the eclipse at Lake Powell. It was pretty cold, starting at 50 and getting up to about 65 for the day with water at 70 so we didn’t really hop in or surf but used the time to watch the sun, take pictures and explore. There is a spot called “the crack” where you hike up a narrow path into an enormous hallway of rock about 4 ft wide and 200 ft talk. Here is the drop off, a 10 ft climb up the canyon wall with a rope.

    SHOP UPDATE
Getting closer. Just need the patio deck done and door installed so the siders can finish their work. Gutters would be helpful too!

After a day of heavy liquid sunshine here in the PNW I can see where I will be adding a trench and some drain pipe before the next 50 tons of gravel comes in...

So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?
