Man gravel sucks! My shop took 25 truck loads not to mention the 30 plus trips I made with a dump trailer grabbin 3 ton at a time. Imine was a black hole for gravel being almost 7 ft at the back corner that had to be built up. Then the concrete was another big hit when it came time for that. Yours is shaping up nicely! Mine is still not done butI am slowly getting my electrical circuits knocked out.

    I felt this comment.
Although the amounts were not as large, it was never ending gravel work followed by 60 yards of concrete.

Berg, shop is awesome. I wish I would have built my loft with initial construction.

My buddy about a mile away has kids moving out and using his garage for a staging area, so...... now I have two boats (temporarily).

Yes, I've got a lot of $$$ into gravel and concrete, and well boulders. Behind my shop on the SE corner about 30ft back the property drops off to about a 40 degree slope. Makes a great hill climb for motos and quads but the geotech engineers were a bit freaked out by that so my footings in that corner are nearly 4ft wide and 3ft tall and a whole lotta rebar. Then an 8" wide stem wall where every where else is only 6". It's been a learning experience....

I'm looking forward to running wire and circuits. At this rate going to be a winter project. For now I've got extension cords stretched out there for lighting, garage doors, etc.
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

It’s actually a wetland area, but I can see how it looks that way.

We are super fortunate that we usually have the lake to ourselves during the work week.
