    Default Weighing a Mobius LSV???` .... WAKESURFING

How are you guys weighing you lsv boats? I have a 2002 and havent gotten the wake dailed in yet. I tried about 450lbs on the passenger side with the stock middle bag filled (600lb). And a 250lb guy on the back deck.
How much weight do i need? Thanks

I have a 2003 and this is what we are doing. we got a 750# sac and swapped it out for the rear left ballast bag. We fill the front sac ful, the rear left full, usually have one guy sitting on the sun deck(he's also good for throwing the rope back to rider..just in case) and then if it is a good day, there will be a fe ladies spread out on the left side. you need to have some weight in the middle and front of the boat. With this setup we run right around 10mph, it seems to change daily sometimes 10.5 sometimes 9.4 just play with that. we keep the wakeplate at about 15%. There was definetly some experimental time with this. Hope that's a good starting point

I cant find any 750lb bags that fit in the rear. I put in a 20 x 50in bag. Not sure what the weight is on that. (i thought it was around 450lb but it might be more like 600lbs.

Also how much weight do you put in the front?

    Superman,

I have an 05 LSV and I assume it's pretty similar to your's. I switched out my rear bags for the FlyHigh v-drive sacs - they're 16x16x42 (about 450lbs) and fit very well in the rear compartments. I also have a FlyHigh Tube Sac to lay in the bow walkthrough/center area that's 375lbs. I fill the stock center bag, the new port rear bag, and the tube sac laying on the floor in the center. Then I take the two stock rear bags and fill them laying them in the rear passenger area. At 10mph and wakeplate up it gives a very good surf wake on the port side, even with just one or two people in the boat. Add more people and the wake just gets better.

your 50x20 sac is a 750# sac, and that's as big as you can go back there.
I have a 10x16x62 in the ski locker and that's 350#, check wakeside.com out for bag sizes and weights, then go and buy them on ebay!

I also need to add that the 20x50 sac was no where near full. When i had it pumped up it had a cover on it that was only letting about half of the bag to pump. I took it out of its cover and filled it with air and then it got to 20x50. I dont want to throw anyone false info. So i was only getting around 400lbs in there.

    Default WAKESURFING

Hey everyone, I need a little help!

I just recently bnought an 07 LSV and I have mooching off my brother's Malibu VTX with a wedge and his seems to put out a much bigger wave for wakesurfing. I emptied the ballast in the center and filled the back left all the way and rode for a while, but still could not get it huge like his. We messed with the wakeplate and put the trim all the way up (which means the wakeplate is down) and it took away from the size!!! What do I do?

You need the center filled with the wakeplate at 0- 10%. 9.5 to 10.5mph.
How much wieght is your rear bags each?

    Ken,

The wakeplate REDUCES the size of the boat's natural wake. Leave it all the way UP. Then adjust it down very slightly to shape the wake. (as described here numerous times)

They are 350lb each left and right and I have a 500 in the center. I am taking it out again tomorrow and I will give it another try. I will also have more people in the boat too, so that will help out.

    Thanks
