Default Boatmate Trailer Steps - DIY

Boatmate said they couldn’t fabricate steps due to the size of my trailer and my EOH brake reservoir, so a friend fabbed up some steps in his shop for me. Lucked out finding a matching gator step color on Amazon, and with a bit of black tremclad, I’m pretty happy with the result! The hitch can still swing over without being near the boat, and the bottom step is removable if you have to make really tight turns.

That is fantastic work. There may be a niche market for those...
So when is this "old enough to know better" supposed to kick in?

I've seen a few people making and selling them on social media. Good upgrade.

Ok. When you said Boatmate wouldn't fabricate steps because of the size, I was thinking in the opposite direction. That maybe the trailer was too long? I guess I am still somewhat confused by their statement. You proved that they can obviously be made to fit. And look good too!
